Our 1st Guiding Principal – BELIEVE!

We believe in God.

It is truly that simple. We assume (since you are reading this) that you believe in God as well. The truth is that this first guiding principle is the easiest (I’ll explain in a bit) of the three. Not in the beginning, of course. It may have come easily for some, but most of us needed to go through some trials, and a little bit of tribulation, to get to the point of believing. That is okay. Belief in God is the most personal, and profound, revelation we can experience in our time on this earth. A gift of that magnitude needs to be hard won. Once attained, however, it is hard to remember a time (or a reason why) we did not believe in the first place. It is a beautiful, everlasting, piece of us now, and it is meant to be shared with the world. It is the easiest of the three because it is the only one that does not require ongoing work. You believe in God, or you do not believe in God; once you have made your decision the work is all done.

Appreciation and sharing, on the other hand, are a completely different story.

The Bible is chock full o’ references to appreciation and sharing. In fact, there is not a religion or sacred text, that does not reference these two concepts repeatedly when expounding upon the ways in which we can come closer to God. That is why we adopted them into the guiding principles of this little company.

Our faith is rooted in Christianity. We are proud of that, and take great comfort in it. We also believe that all people are God’s children and that people of every faith should be able to discuss their love of God amongst each other and with others. The appreciation and sharing of all the little God Things are what shine the light on the dark corners of the world. The very first I Believe In God Things concept was centered around creating a way for everyone (regardless of which religion they followed) to proclaim their recognition of Gods light in our daily lives.
